Research Portal Denmark – Discover and explore Danish research

Official Launch of Research Portal Denmark

Research Portal Denmark will be officially launched at a conference 21. March 2024. In addition to presentation and launch of the portal, the conference will explore broader trends within the themes of research information, infrastructures, evaluations, and assessments – with a particular focus on open data, systems, and initiatives, nationally as well as internationally. In addition, we invite everyone to submit a poster for the afternoon poster reception (see more below)

Research Portal Denmark is an open national research infrastructure, dedicated to collecting and organizing data on Danish research, as well as building public user services and databases that facilitate the discovery and exploration of Danish research. Research Portal Denmark is produced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science by NORA – National Open Research Analytics.

The conference themes are:

>Launch of Research Portal Denmark

The Ministry of Higher Education and Science officially cuts the ribbon to Research Portal Denmark, and the NORA team presents the Research Portal with its exciting new services.

>Outlook: Research Discovery and Analytics in the age of Open Science

International presenters give their take on

– The vision: Open Science & better, broader, and open assessment of research

– The foundation and implementation: Open data and open infrastructures

>Outlook: The further development in Denmark

We look into the future with new paradigms for research information and evaluation. How can we in Denmark establish comprehensive and coherent information infrastructures for research and innovation? What will be Research Portal Denmark’s next step?

>Posters and poster reception

Your exciting, innovative and inspiring posters will be presented and you will have a good opportunity to network with colleagues.

We wish the launch conference to support the exchange of new ideas, interesting projects, knowledge, and expertise among the participants. In addition to the exciting presentations, we therefore invite all interested participants to submit a poster for the conference.

The posters are presented at the poster reception from 16:00-17:00, where we also invite you to a glass of wine etc. However, the poster will already be on display from the morning and will thus be available all day. This is a good opportunity to discuss current challenges, good ideas, exciting solutions etc. with relevant colleagues, and we therefore encourage everyone to submit a poster.

Relevant themes could be:

>Open Science, Open Data & Open Systems

  • How are Open Science contributions documented and monitored?
  • Better, broader and open research evaluation – qualitative and quantitative
  • Open analysis and use of open data sources such as OpenAlex – challenges, potentials.

>Use cases, different ways of using Research Portal Denmark, its services and its data.

  • Experiences already gained
  • If the portal was extended with this, then we could…..

>Other interesting initiatives with a focus on research information, -analytics, bibliometrics and scientometrics

Send your poster proposal to Marija Rakas marak@dtu.dk with title and a short description, no later than 1. March 2024. You will receive feedback as soon as possible thereafter.

Formal requirements regarding size, setup, etc. will be announced after the deadline, where the final list of posters will also be published.
